Knocked in by hand with a heavy duty Ligium mallet.
We knock in for a standard amount of time. However different makes of bat may require different levels of knocking and some further knocking may be required.
You will always need to ” play in” the bat after knocking in by testing with hitting short catches with an old quality cricket ball. However if the seam marks the blade; it is necessary to knock in further.
Once these steps have been taken, the bat should be ready for use in matches. It is advisable to initially avoid use against the “new ball”.
IDEALLY A BAT SHOULD NOT BE USED IN MATCH CONDITIONS UNTIL FULLY PREPARED
By having your bat knocked in does not guarantee the bat durability or longevity.
We are not responsible for damage to the bat during use. Any damage issues to your bat during use should be addresses with the manufacurer or retailer.
Imperative if your bat is to play well.
